Andal invited each and every Gopika to observe the fast known as the Margazhi Nombu. They however doubted themselves whether they were capable of doing the Nombu due to various reasons and other commitments. Andal practically explained the Do’s and Don’ts of the fast and subtly added that to attain the Supreme Soul or Paramathma, one needs to first perform their dharma (duty that has been assigned to them during their lifetime) and leave the rest to God. That unshakable faith is the key to attaining eternal bliss.
