The Gopika, who is still asleep, is unaware of Andal's presence. Andal points out that even though she has the brightness of the light (Acharyan) to drive away the darkness (ignorance). The Gopika ignores the light around her and continues to sleep saying that she did Saranagati and it is Lord Krishna's duty to take care of the rest. Andal explains that even after doing Saranagati one has to do their dharma to attain Him.
