About the Artist
Vinay Varanasi is a writer, storyteller, and cultural thinker at the forefront of a growing movement to reimagine and popularise India’s classical traditions for contemporary audiences. As a young voice deeply engaged with the country’s artistic and philosophical heritage, he has emerged as a leading figure in making ancient ideas accessible, relatable, and relevant—particularly for the next generation. His storytelling work draws from sources as diverse as temple architecture, Vedic philosophy, Carnatic music, and Indian classical dance, blending them into evocative narratives that spark curiosity and introspection.
What sets Vinay apart is his unique ability to bridge disciplines—uniting mathematics with mythology, music with geometry, and tradition with innovation. Through projects like Sacred Geometry, a collaboration with classical dancer Aishwarya Vidhya Raghunath, he crafts multi-sensory experiences that challenge the idea that ancient knowledge is static or inaccessible. Instead, he reveals it as dynamic, layered, and deeply human.
Vinay’s work has resonated widely with young Indians and diasporic communities around the world, thanks to his thoughtful, engaging style and his commitment to telling stories that are both authentic and contemporary. We are thrilled to host him and look forward to an evening that promises insight, inspiration, and a renewed connection to India’s living traditions.
