Call for Submissions: SIFAA’s "Threads of India"
The Swiss Indian Fine Arts Association (SIFAA) is thrilled to announce the launch of our inaugural magazine edition, "Indians in Switzerland". This special edition will celebrate the vibrant and diverse Indian community in Switzerland, showcasing its rich contributions, unique stories, and cultural legacy.
We are inviting submissions from writers across all age groups to contribute to this landmark publication. Whether you're a budding writer or a seasoned storyteller, we want to hear your voice and perspective!
What We’re Looking For: Selected articles will undergo feedback and rewriting sessions with our editorial team before being featured in the magazine. This is your opportunity to polish your writing skills and share your story with the wider community.

Ages <10: Little Dreamers
- My Favourite Indian Celebration: Describe your favourite festival and why it’s special to you.
- The Indian Food I Love: Talk about your favourite Indian dish and who makes it best.
- An Indian Story I Heard: Share a story that your parents or grandparents told you about India.
- Indian Clothes I Like to Wear: Describe a traditional outfit you enjoy wearing.
- What Makes Me Proud to Be Indian: Share what you love most about being Indian. Word Count: 100 words
Ages 10-18: Youthful Explorers
- Growing Up Between Two Cultures: What’s it like balancing Indian and Swiss cultures in your life?
- Celebrating Indian Festivals in Switzerland: How does your family celebrate Diwali, Holi, or other festivals here?
- What I Love About Indian Food: Describe your favourite Indian foods and how you share them with friends.
- Indian Cinema in My Life: Talk about how Bollywood movies or music influence you or your family.
- The Indian Fashion Influence: How do traditional Indian fashion and textiles inspire your personal style in Switzerland?
- What Makes Me Proud to Be Indian: Share what you love most about being Indian. Word Count: 250-500 words
Ages 18-30: Aspiring Changemakers

Ages >30: Thoughtful Storytellers

Selection and Feedback
Our editorial team will review all submissions. Selected authors will be invited to participate in feedback and rewriting sessions to refine their work before publication.
